Mindful Yin Yoga Training

Friday: 4:00 – 7:00pm,
Saturday & Sunday: 11:00am – 6:00pm

This immersion is designed for yoga teachers and yoga students who would like to deepen their understanding of the practice and instruction of Yin Yoga. This immersion comes with a manual. During the weekend we will explore through physical practice, written/visual material and group discussion:

– an introduction to Yin Yoga theory and its benefits
– thorough coverage of yin postures & modifications/variations for all levels
– mindfulness meditation and associated practices to support the yin practice
– anatomy specific to yin yoga
– exploration of the breath and associated breathing practices
– complete yin yoga sequences
– locations of meridians and acupressure points that can be used during practice or teaching
– explanation of the organ systems and the five elements according to Traditional Chinese Medicine and how they relate to yin yoga
– multiple experiential practice sessions

Open to all students and levels.
(This immersion is considered teacher training for 20hrs of Yoga Alliance credit.)

JENNIFER RAYE holds her doctorate in Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, holistic nutritionist, mindfulness meditation teacher, and an experienced (E-RYT500) yoga teacher. Influenced and supported by her years of formal study and personal practice, and over a decade of teaching, Jennifer’s offerings reflect her extensive and varied expertise in the fields of contemplative practice and integrative medicine. Steeped in the wisdom of the Buddha Dharma, and her deep respect for the beauty and magic of the natural world, her teachings emphasize self-care and are holistic, therapeutic in nature, and have a strong focus on the individual needs of students.

Jennifer teaches classes, retreats, and teacher training, locally and internationally, in addition to running her private medical practice. She is also the creator of a number of online programs.
