PRIVATE YOGA INSTRUCTION
Deepen your practice on the mat and in your life! In a private session you can expect individualized instruction specifically tailored to your needs. You will be guided through your session with the benefit of hands-on alignment and a personalized practice. Private instruction is recommended to all students/all levels. Private classes for special events also available.
Community Hatha is a class designed to be accessible to all and is offered at a suggested donation of $10. The 75 minute class incorporates different aspects of posture, breath work and meditation. The class creates a nurturing environment to promote relaxation, healing and inner care. We welcome students of all ages, body types, ability, and experience.
INTRODUCTION TO YOGA
This class will explore the fundamental asanas (postures), pranayama (breath) and dhyana (meditation) of yoga. Focusing on a limited number of aligned, held postures, we will learn the foundation, alignment and action within each pose. All ages, levels of experience and ability are welcome.
Prajna means “insight” or wisdom gained from direct experience. Prajna Yoga weaves three elements: alignment based asana, anatomy illumination, and wisdom teachings. This class is for all levels and provides challenge for experienced students and modifications for those requiring more support. The practice weaves alignment details in postures linked with breath and movement flow. Each class is intelligently sequenced to allow the body to open and strengthen without strain. Students are encouraged to listen to their breath and honor their body. The practice is dynamic, therapeutic, and deeply grounding.
Sangha translates in sanskrit to healthy, like-minded, community. The class takes inspiration from Prajna Yoga and Vinyasa and encourages listening in and developing a strong inner teacher while supporting one another with presence of mind, intention and compassion. Each class flows with the union of breath, alignment based movement and asana working towards a theme or peak pose. Classes are all levels and include the use of props and modifications to individualize the practice for each yogi.
A gentle, slow- paced Yoga class designed for beginners, students rehabilitating from past injuries, students over 50, and experienced students who want a slower paced, less strenuous class. Take your practice slower! Explore the safe and correct way to do yoga and learn how to modify the yoga poses to suit your individual needs according to age, strength and flexibility. Receive individualized attention and hands-on assists in a safe and open learning environment.
A multi level class designed to dissolve any accumulated tension in the body while aligning ourselves towards the good intentions we set before our new week. Sunday mornings are a time for reflection and coming home to your own dear spirit. Be prepared to sweat, unwind and melt into meditation and perhaps just see how your spirit moves you.
A yoga class for all levels, from new to experienced students, Vinyasa Alignment is creatively and intelligently sequenced to connect every body to powerful poses through precise movement and breath. This Vinyasa flow class deepens body awareness and balances strength and stretch, creating ease and power in your yoga practice.
