One of the oldest buildings in the downtown core, a railway passenger station, is the home of Casino Regina. Each year Heritage Regina conducts a number of walking tours of various neighbourhoods and topics throughout the city of Regina. Heritage Regina members also assist with research to support applications for Heritage Status. Later renamed Metropolitan Theatre, it was closed and for sale in 1987.

It remains the recital and concert hall for the Regina Conservatory of Music and the University of Regina's Department of Music as well as the venue for amateur theatricals and public lectures.
